Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our products and services — including our word-puzzle games, whether accessed through our website, progressive web app (PWA), or native mobile app (the "Game").
Our goal is simple: make a great game without selling personal data or using advertising trackers. We design our products to be usable without invasive analytics, third-party ad networks, or cross-site tracking.
1. Who We Are
Our products are operated by Mucho Gusto Games, LLC, a U.S.-based company organized as a Delaware limited liability company and operating in California ("we," "us," or "our").
If you have questions about privacy, you can contact us at:
Email: support@muchogusto.games
2. One Privacy Policy for Guests and Members
Our games can be used in two ways:
- Free Players — anyone who plays the free daily game without creating an account.
- Members — players who choose to subscribe to access additional daily games and features.
This Privacy Policy applies to both. The main difference is that Members sign in, and we store some gameplay and account information on our servers so it can sync across devices and be restored after login. We do not use that information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect (Guests or Members)
We do not:
- Sell personal information.
- Use third-party advertising trackers or ad networks.
- Use cross-site tracking cookies.
- Build advertising profiles about you.
For Guests, gameplay for the free version is stored locally on your device (for example, to remember today's progress or preferences such as dark mode). This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across visits.
4. Information We Collect (and Why)
We collect limited information necessary to operate the Game and (if you choose) provide membership features.
4.1 Account Information (Members)
Depending on how you sign in, we may collect:
- An email address (for email login)
- An account identifier from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google
We do not collect passwords for third-party sign-in providers.
4.2 Gameplay & Account Data
For Members, we store gameplay information on our servers so it can be synced across devices and restored when you log in. This may include:
- Puzzle history
- Streaks
- Hints used
- Scores or performance statistics
This information is used:
- To operate the Game
- To provide member features
- To improve gameplay balance and quality
4.3 Native App Data
If you use our native mobile app (iOS or Android), we may additionally collect:
- Crash diagnostics and performance data (anonymized)
- Device type and operating system version (for compatibility)
- Push notification tokens (only if you opt in to notifications)
This data is used solely to maintain app stability, fix bugs, and deliver notifications you have requested. It is not used for advertising or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Payments
All payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe, Apple (via In-App Purchase), and Google Pay.
We do not receive or store:
- Credit card numbers
- Full billing addresses
Payment providers handle your payment information according to their own privacy policies. For native app purchases, payments are managed entirely by Apple or Google through their respective app stores.
6. Analytics and Measurement
6.1 Aggregate Analytics (All Users)
We collect limited aggregate, anonymous usage data, such as:
- Number of games played
- Games completed per day
- Subscription starts or cancellations (counts only)
This data is not tied to individual free players and is used only to understand how the Game is used overall.
6.2 Member Analytics
For Members, gameplay activity may be associated with an account in order to:
- Improve the Game
- Diagnose bugs
- Understand feature usage
This data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies or similar technologies only when they are strictly necessary:
- To keep Members signed in
- To store game progress or preferences
- To operate the Game correctly
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies
Because we do not use non-essential tracking cookies, a cookie consent banner is not required.
8. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users)
For users in the EU or UK:
- Guest (local) gameplay data is processed based on legitimate interest in operating the Game.
- Member account and synced gameplay data is processed to perform a contract (providing the subscription service).
We do not rely on consent for advertising tracking because we do not engage in cross-site advertising tracking.
9. Data Retention
- Local gameplay data remains on your device until you clear it.
- Member account data is retained while your account is active.
- You may delete your account at any time, which deletes associated personal data.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Delete your member account and associated data
- Access information about what data we hold
You can close your account directly in the app. If you need help, contact us at the email above.
We do not currently provide automated data export files.
11. Children's Privacy
The Game is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Native Mobile Apps
This Privacy Policy applies to our native mobile apps (iOS and Android) in addition to our website and progressive web app. Native apps may include additional platform-specific features:
- Push Notifications: You may opt in to receive notifications about daily puzzles or account activity. You can disable these at any time through your device settings.
- Crash Diagnostics: We may collect anonymized crash reports to improve app stability. This data does not include personal information.
- In-App Purchases: Subscriptions purchased through native apps are managed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of purchase status but do not access your payment details.
If we add additional features that affect data collection, we will update this policy and note the changes.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will update the date at the top of this page.

In short: we build games to be fun, respectful, and privacy-conscious. We don't sell personal data or use ad tracking. Guests can play without an account, and Members can opt into sign-in so their progress can sync across devices.
